Objective

Zakat is one of the pillars of Islam and becomes obligatory once a person owns a certain amount of wealth. The objective of Amar Zakat is to present all the basic information related to Zakat in one place — when and how Zakat is imposed on different types of assets, and how the calculation is done — so that any Muslim can understand the rules and work out their own Zakat without needing outside help.

• UI implementation of informational sections and calculation forms
• Cross-platform build support with Ionic for the Android release
• Bug hunting and fixing during release cycles

Summary of Amar Zakat

Zakat rules differ by the type of wealth a person owns, which makes self-calculation confusing for most people. Amar Zakat addresses this by separating the guidance into personal Zakat, business Zakat, crop Zakat, and livestock Zakat, each explained on its own. On top of the reference material, the app provides a simple Zakat Calculation Form for personal and business Zakat, so users can move directly from reading the rules to producing a number for their own wealth. Deeni Info Tech shipped the project as an Android app, an iOS app, and a website, sharing a single Next.js and Ionic codebase across the platforms.
